Explanation of keyword figures like search volume, competition, CPC, and more.
1. Explanation of keyword KPI's
When you're on the keywords tab of an organic search campaign, or looking at the overview page via marketing > search keywords, you'll see 5 metrics.
But what do those metrics mean?
- Search volume: How many times a month someone types this keyword into Google.
- Rank: When you type this keyword into Google, when does your website pop up?
- Rank change: Your most recent rank compared to the previous one. Rankings are updated once a week.
- Competition: How difficult it is to rank for this keyword. 1% is easy, 100% is nearly impossible.
- CPC: This the cost-per-click for a paid search campaign (Google Ads). If you add this keyword to an SEA campaign, this is how much it will cost when someone clicks your ad.
All KPI's are based on the selected country. If you add these keywords to a campaign that targets a different country, all these figures will be different.
If there is no ranking available, it's either because Growf hasn't had a chance to retrieve the rankings yet, or because your website is not among the first 100 search results.
2. Detailed keyword insights
When you click on a keyword, you'll open detailed keyword insights. Here you can find historical rankings and search volume, plus the Search Engine Result Page (SERP).
If you rank on this keyword, your website will be highlighted in the SERP.
3. SEO Dashboard
You'll also find some additional keyword figures on your SEO dashboard. Navigate to overview in the main menu and select SEO in the dropdown menu in the top right.
